Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who can book a tour?

    All tours can be booked by individuals or by a group. All ages are welcome on our Explore the Surface tour. Any guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Where should I go when I arrive?

    All participants will meet at the desk on the second floor near the Coastline Café. A Behind the Seas Tour sign will identify the tour desk. The tour guide will arrive 10 minutes before the tour start time to check in guests. All tours leave on time. Guests arriving up to 5 minutes late will be escorted to join the rest of the tour already in progress. No refunds will be issued for missing part or all of a tour.

  • How many people can attend a tour?

    The Explore the Surface Tour may consist of up to 18 guests.

  • What will I see on the Explore the Surface tour?

    This is the first tour we recommend guests experience. You will see topside views of some of our most popular exhibits.

  • Do I need to print my online ticket?

    There is no need to print the email or barcodes. Your tour guide will be able to scan your ticket directly from your phone.

  • Are guests permitted to bring food or drinks on the tour?

    Food and drinks are not permitted during the tour.

  • What is your rescheduling/refund policy?

    Date changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of the tour. We do not offer refunds for guests who do not attend their scheduled tour.

    Due to the nature of caring for animals, Georgia Aquarium reserves the right to modify, cancel and/or reschedule programs without notice. Reasonable accommodations will be made to reschedule guests as effectively as possible.

  • Are there any specific clothing restrictions?

    No high heels are allowed on our tours.
